trip to Deutschland!

Last week was SIT for my Project and I was sent off to a nice little town in Altfeld, Germany where the warehouse is located..alone! I stayed in this nice and cozy hotel near the river where old married couples usually go for dinner and bfast consist of bread and cold cuts. yum.

This is were I stayed

And then on the weekend before I leave for Manila, I stayed at Taty and Marcus' place. It was nice!! Taty is such a neat freak :P

Friday night was spent drinking Gluhwein (christmas wine with shots of rhum, served warm -perfect for winter!) at Frankfurt Chrismas market and drinking beer at someone's place. Taty introduced me to her friends, all of which are couples! Taty you disappoint me hahahahaha. Why do I always end up in a group where I'm the nth wheel?! :)

They said Filipinos always do this sign when their pictures are being taken. Di kaya! haha

I didnt know you can drink beer anywhere in Germany. It was unbelievable, just drinking beer while walking, while in the train, anywhere! You can never do that in Manila. haha imagine the chaos.

Saturday, Taty and Marcus prepared a Bavarian bfast which means pretzels, sausage and beer! yes, beer! so early in the morning, could you imagine?! Good thing I slept off the hangover from last night. Acck it was unbelievable.
Marcus showing the right way of pouring the beer

Bavarian breakfast

We were supposed to go sledding that day but it was too warm. Ha! So Taty and I went shopping. We found cute german kids singing carols! Ang cute. Imagine mo taty ung kids mo kakanta din jan someday! :P

Then we went to the Konighstein (spell check pls!) Xmas market where we drank more Gluhwein and ate waffles. Taty made me walk near the palace ruins..it was UPHILL!!! walk uphill during WINTER!!! acck, too much exercise.
Cheers! Alex, Marcus, Taty and smoke coming from my mug.

This is downhill, coming from the palace ruins.

It was fun fun fun! Though everything was very expensive. :) I hope they'll send me back so I could meet Taty and Marcus again, and maybe this time Taty has more friends...wink wink! hahahaha.

Thanks again Taty and Marcus for a very good and fun weekend! See you again soon!
PS: Loka loka ka. :P

travelling to germany

I'll be going to Germany for a week! But too bad and too sad for me, I'll be travelling alone. And it's almost winter. So can you imagine me being cold and alone. How sad!!!

And to top all of these, the whole project team will be staying at the city at this Ramada hotel, while I'll be stuck in the suburbs of Altfeld where the P&G warehouse is located, staying in a hotel that doesn't even have english translations on their website! And I'll be commuting, probably in a train, all alone, while the rest enjoy the "luxury" of cabs or rented cars. I am such an unlucky person. Why do I have to be in the plant anyway?!

But..I'm looking forward to meeting Taty! and going to the christmas markets in Frankfurt..and having German beer and dancing (i hope :))

So fine. I might get lost and be along for 1 week, but I'm still pretty excited about it! haha.

2 years and counting?!

Had baboy dinner at HEAT Shangri-la last night with Raffy, Ivin, RJ, Kookie and Ricci to celebrate 2 years of slavery (hahahaha) in HP. We didn't eat lunch so we have more space for roast beef! Less ang casualty this time, wala nang halos masuka-suka sa busog. First casualty was Ricci! hehehe. and then Ivin. :P basta ang sarap. Too bad onti lang kmi this time.

Super sulet ang bayad ko sa dessert. Mango-peach-chocolate chips-rice crispies crepe plus ala-coldrock ice cream on top with almonds and walnuts and chocolate syrup drizzle equals "Lord have mercy! dessert" Yummmm.

I want more :)

But this is the best monsoon ever, with all the mud and rain and all the crazy people I'm with, super saya! I just love to play in the rain. :)

solar beach

The last weekend in Istanbul was spent on shopping and swimming. Weee! We went to Solar beach at Kilios, Turkey. No white sand but it was brown like sugar. And the water was freakin cold! As in Icy cold. Brrrrr. Here are some pictures from the trip. It was nice, and a perfect way to end our trip. Unless we get earlier flights, we will be leaving Turkey for good this Friday. Hoooray! :P
